CPN Announces New Board Member Brig. Gen. John McGoff
Conquer Paralysis Now is pleased to announce the addition of Brigadier General John McGoff, to our Board of Directors.
General John P. McGoff, is Chief of Staff, Indiana Air National Guard, Indianapolis, Indiana. He is an advisor to The Adjutant General on matters pertaining to the Indiana Air National Guard, which consists of the 122nd Fighter wing in Fort Wayne, 181st Intelligence Wing in Terre Haute, Atterbury Air-to-Ground Range in Madison, and the 207th Weather Flight in Indianapolis.
General McGoff was commissioned in 1982 in the Medical Service Corps. In 1984 he was re-commissioned in the Medical Corps upon completion of medical training. Prior to his current assignment, he was the Medical Readiness Assistant to the United States Air Forces in Europe Commander, serving as the liaison between the Air National Guard and Headquarters, United States Air Forces in Europe Surgeon General, and advising the commander on Air National Guard medical capabilities and the mobilization process.
His distinguished service with the 122nd Fighter Wing and the former 181st Fighter Wing included assignments as Medical Group Commander, Chief of Flight Missile Medicine, Flight Surgeon, and Hospital Administrator. During his tenure as commander, the unit received “Excellent” ratings on their Health Services Inspections in 1993, 1997, 2001, and 2005. They also won the Theodore Marrs Award, the highest Air National Guard Medical Award in 1997, and received the prestigious Schaeffer Trophy in 2006, for the best medical unit in all of the reserve components.
